Mizoram State Medicinal Plants Board Executive Body meeting

Aizawl, 13 Feb (Zoram News): Mizoram State Medicinal Plants Board (MSMPB) Executive Body meeting was held today at Secretariat Conference Hall, MINECO. Board Vice Chairman Pi Esther Lalruatkimi, Principal Secretary, H&FW and Dr. C. Lalzepuii, Member Secretary and members from various departments discussed the activities of the State Medicinal Plants Board Mizoram.

State Medicinal Plants Board Mizoram is established under the National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH. Dr. Lalkhawngaihi Renthlei is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and function under the Directorate of AYUSH.

They are responsible for the conservation, promotion, development and related issues of herbal medicines in Mizoram. Among these developments are the establishment of 52 selected Herbal Garden schools, the establishment of nurseries in collaboration with KVK Serchhip District and Mamit District and the nationwide campaign on Withania somnifera A health promoter in the state of Mizoram” are the most prominent activities.
