Employment Generation Scheme Awareness Lecture for Villagers

Aizawl, 13 Feb (Zoram News): Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted Employment Generation Scheme Awareness Lecture at New Vaikhawtlang, Mimbung and Ngopa villages yesterday, a total of 53 peoples attended the program.

Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted Employment Generation Scheme Awareness Lecture at New Vaikhawtlang, Mimbung and Ngopa villages yesterday, a total of 53 peoples attended the program.
The lecture aimed to increase awareness about the “Right to Work,” motivate the unemployed youth to choose the right career.

The event started with a lecture on various Government Employment schemes such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojna (PMRY).

Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is aimed to result in enhancement of livelihood in society of the households in rural areas of the country by providing at least one hundred days of guaranteed wages/ employment in every financial year.

Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) scheme helps to provide financial assistance to setup new enterprises under. Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojna (PMRY) scheme is designed to provide employment to educated unemployed youth by setting up of micro enterprises and boost up the morale of young entrepreneurs.

In addition, the Lecture also included the schemes and efforts of the State Government also for Emp Generation in rural areas of Mizoram.
