Central Young Lai Association (CYLA) has issued a statement regarding the recent incidents of violence in Mizoram caused by migrants from Bangladesh settling in the state
According to CYLA "The influx of migrants from Bangladesh into our state has led to an increase in social tensions and conflicts. We believe that the migrants should be dealt with compassion and understanding. While addressing the issue of migration, it is important to consider the socio-economic and cultural implications that affect our land and people."

In light of recent events, on June 26, 2023, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) test occurred in Chamdur 'P' village.

Regarding the IED test, CYLA states, "Such tests pose a threat to the safety and well-being of innocent civilians and can escalate tensions among various communities. We urge for restraint and peaceful dialogue to address the concerns of both the locals and migrants."

CYLA has called upon the Sub Headquarters, Groups, Joints, and Branches of the Young Lai Association to actively work towards finding solutions and promoting harmony in the affected areas.
