Mizoram Synod Urges people to refrain from violence against meitei community

Amid the recent outbreak of violence in Manipur, Synod Moderator Rev. Dr. C Chawnghmingliana has spoken out and request church members to refrain from violence against Meitei residents in Mizoram. In a statement, he emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and urged for understanding and empathy towards those affected by the violence.

"Violence and hatred only breed more violence and hatred. We must work towards peace and harmony, and show compassion towards those who are suffering," he said.

Rev. Dr. Chawnghmingliana also highlighted the need for Mizoram's Christian community to be a shining example of love and kindness, especially towards Meitei residents who may be feeling vulnerable in the current situation.

The Synod Moderator expressed his support for efforts to promote peace and urged the Mizoram government and local communities to take steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, regardless of their background.

The Mizoram Christian community has also pledged to provide support and assistance to Meitei residents during this challenging time.
