Khawzawl, 31 July (Zoram News): According to the arrangement made by the Deputy Commissioner of Khawzawl District, Khawzawl Road Protection Squad conducted a Squad drive by walking around. They inspected whether there is work that can damage or narrow roads.
The Squad drive was started at National Highway No.6 from Khawzawl vengthar and inspected the road within Vengthar and Kawnzar. The Road Protection Squad was accompanied by Village Council and YMA leaders in their respective areas.
The Road Protection Squad gave a letter to 10 people to clear the road and to stop what they did as per CrPC 133.Road Protection Squad drive was started last year and now is the 2nd phase for this year. After the main roads are inspected, smaller roads will be inspected by the Road Protection Squad.
The Squad drive was led by James Lalnithanga, SDO(S) & Convener, Khawzawl Road Protection Squad. Representatives of the DC office, police, PWD, P&E, PHE Department attended the drive.
