Aizawl, February 23 (Zoram News): ZONET TV Pvt Ltd in collaboration with Mizoram Journalists’ Association (MJA) has officially unveiled eight college beauty queens who will compete in Miss Mizoram 2026, following a special photo session. Their official portraits were released at 6:00 PM on February 23 via the Miss Mizoram Official Instagram handle, marking a key milestone in this year’s pageant calendar.
Eight Colleges Represented
A total of eight colleges from Aizawl city have nominated their respective College Miss titleholders for the state-level competition. The selected contestants are:
- Saitluangpuii Sailo – Pachhunga University College
- Rengpuii Sailo – Govt. Hrangbana College
- Lallawmawmi – Govt. T. Romana College
- Lalrinfeli – Govt. Aizawl West College
- Lalrinhlui – Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College
- Lalthanzuali – Govt. Johnson College
- Vanlalremruatpuii – Govt. Aizawl North College
- Baby Remruatsangi – Govt. Aizawl College
These eight contestants have been granted direct entry into Miss Mizoram 2026. Unlike other aspirants, they will not be required to appear for the preliminary audition round, having already undergone institutional selection and evaluation at the college level. Candidates applying through the open audition process will compete separately.
Road to the Grand Finale
According to the organisers, the selection process for Miss Mizoram 2026 will formally commence on March 4, 2026, with grooming sessions, evaluations and preparatory rounds scheduled in the weeks leading up to the final event.
The Grand Finale of Miss Mizoram 2026 is scheduled to be held on April 24, 2026, at R Dengthuama Hall in Aizawl.
Organisers stated that this year’s edition aims to highlight not only beauty and elegance but also confidence, cultural awareness and youth leadership. The pageant continues to serve as one of Mizoram’s premier platforms for young women to showcase talent, personality and social advocacy.
