Aizawl, 30 June (Zoram News): Assam Rifles in Mizoram extended their support to the Mizo people in commemorating Remna Ni, the 37th anniversary of the signing of the peace accord, by organizing "Blood Donation Camps" at various locations in the state.
The initiative was a great success, with a total of 116 units of blood being donated. The participants included 116 volunteers from the Assam Rifles and 9 civilians. The donated blood was handed over to the Blood Bank, where it will be available for critical patients, pregnant women, and others in need, especially those with rare blood groups during emergencies. Additionally, the initiative aimed to help economically weaker and needy individuals who face difficulties in accessing blood when required.
Such blood donation camps not only save lives but also create awareness about the significance of blood donation, encouraging more people to participate and contribute to this life-saving cause. The collaboration between the Assam Rifles and the Mizo community in organizing this event showcases their commitment to fostering unity, harmony, and goodwill in the state of Mizoram.
