Assam Rifles initiates bike rally to educate border villages on drug awareness and development initiatives

Aizawl, 3 May (Zoram News): On May 3, 2023, the Headquarters Assam Rifles Mizoram Range, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), initiated a bike rally.

This rally will cover all the border villages along the Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Myanmar borders, connecting the first villages of Mizoram.

The objective of this event is to educate the border population on various issues such as drug awareness, the ban on single-use plastic, the importance of learning Hindi and English for employment opportunities, joining Sainik Schools, and creating awareness about central government schemes for border villages.

Additionally, it aims to spread awareness about development activities under Assam Rifles Civic Action Program and road connectivity and infrastructure development in border villages undertaken by the Centre/state.

The bike rally will help identify areas that require immediate attention for the welfare and overall development of the populace of border villages.
