NCC organised cultural program and meritorious award distribution ceremony

Aizawl, 16 March (Zoram News): Lt. Gen. Gurbir Pal Singh, AVSM, VSM, DG, NCC, attended a cultural program and meritorious award distribution ceremony at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl on March 15, 2023. The event was organized by the NCC Directorate NER.

During his speech, Lt. Col. Gen. Singh encouraged NCC members to focus on training and adventure activities, such as expeditions, trekking, parachuting, para jump, skiing, and discipline themselves to be visible in India. He also urged the NCC cadets to use their skills and abilities for the benefit of the community and be role models for the youth.

The NCC cadets performed traditional dances like Cheraw, Chai, Hlado Chham, Khukri Lam, Rallu Lam, Sarlamkai, and others. Meritorious awards were presented to 3rd Officer Vanlaltanpuio, CTO, 1st Mizo Air Squadron, Cpl Kenny Lalrinawma Singh, 1st Mizo Air Squadron, Cpl Laltlansangi, 1st Mizo Air Squadron, SUP George Lalruatmawia 20 Mizoram Bn NCC, and Cpl Vanlalhlui, 1st Mizo Battalion NCC.
