Champhai, 9 March (Zoram News): ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Heads of Mission comprising 5 ambassadors and other delegates who have came here to Mizoram to witness Chapchar Kut, the biggest and most treasured festival of Mizoram extended their tour towards the eastern part of the State.
The ASEAN HoM Team yesterday visited Champhai and were received at Circuit House by Pu SL Naveen, Deputy Commissioner and other officials, had lunch and short interaction. On their arrival, medical screening was conducted by medical team. In the evening, the ASEAN HoM Team left Champhai for Myanmar, after spending one night halt at Myanmar the team returned to Mizoram and visited Khawzawl District on Sunday, heartily welcomed by the district administration led by Pu H.Lianzela, Deputy Commissioner. The team departed Khawzawl for Aizawl after lunch.
The foreign dignitaries comprised of Pu Bouenneme Chouanghom, Chairman, ASEAN HoM, Laos; Pu Moe Kyaw Aung, Myanmar; Pu Ung Sean, Cambodia; Pu Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro, Indonesia; Pu Pham Sanh Chau, Vietnam, their spouses and other officials.
