Aizawl, 7 April:NITI Aayog adviser Dr Ashok Kumar Jain visited Kolasib district in Mizoram where he inspected various initiatives under the Rural Development department and the Swach Bharat mission.
Expressing satisfaction over the execution of the work under the different initiatives , Kumar said that he was happy with how the work has gone on. Informing him of the progress, state department officials said that the main problem faced while implementing the projects is the lack of funds. Stating that 111,8 toilets under the Swach Bharat scheme will be renovated within a year of receiving the funds, the officials also informed that Kolasib is an open defecation free district.
