Aizawl, March 28: Mizoram People Conference (MPC) today remembered its founder president Brig.Thenphunga Sailo and paid rich tribute to the veteran leader on his first death anniversary. The tribute function held at the party office was attended by several dignitaries including former speaker and ministers like Dr.Kenneth Chawngliana, F. Malsawma and K.L.Lianchia.
The contribution of T. Sailo who rose to prominent in Mizoram by proving his true leadership as an opponent of atrocities committed by Indian Armed Forces in the insurgency-torn Mizo hills, and the development he created through Brig.T.Sailo’s Six Basic Needs among others were recollected by several leader during the function.
Brig. T. Sailo who become twice chief minister when Mizoram was still under Union territory died on March 27 last year. He was 93.
