Nagaon, Jan 14: The 6th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship (Division B) came to an exciting end on Wednesday with Mizoram walking away with the trophy.
Mizoram annexed the Women’s Hockey title defeating Bihar 3-0 in Nagaon, Assam. Marina Lalramnghaki ensured her brace while F Lalwampuii scored the third goal to make things worse for the Bihar side.
Madhya Pradesh ensured their third position defeating Bengal Hockey Association 4-0. Sanju Prajapoti netted the first goal in the 35th minute while she again went on to score in the 46th minute. Sunanda Parmar and Baishnai Baghel found the back of the net in the 39th and 67th minute respectively.
With this defeat Bengal had to be content with the fourth position.
