Aizawl, 4 May (Zoram News): Mizoram Government expresses its grave concern over the recent incidents of violence in Manipur, and the safety and security of the ethnic Zo tribes – Zohnahthlak.

Chief Minister of Mizoram, Mr. Zoramthanga, has had discussions with his counterpart in Manipur, Mr. N. Biren Singh, to address the situation and ensure the safety of the affected tribal communities. The two leaders have agreed to work together towards restoring peace and harmony in Manipur.

Union Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah, has also spoken with Mr. Zoramthanga and assured him that the Central Paramilitary Forces would be deployed if necessary.

Mizoram government has called for peace and harmony to be restored in Manipur, urging all sections of society to work towards maintaining peace and preventing further escalation of violence. The government has assured the Meitei people living in Mizoram of their safety and security, calling on them to engage in peace-building measures.

Home Minister of Mizoram is closely monitoring the situation and developments to ensure that no untoward incidents occur in Mizoram. The Mizoram government stands in solidarity with the Zohnahthlak community and is committed to ensuring their safety and security.
