Doner Secretary interacts with Hrangbana College student

Aizawl, 4 May (Zoram News): Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Lok Ranjan, visited Government Hrangbana College and held an interactive session with students and faculty members in the Golden Hall. During the session, Lok Ranjan emphasized the importance of education in developing Mizoram and encouraged students to work towards improving literacy rates in the state.

The Secretary also discussed various development projects in the region and highlighted the role of the Ministry of DoNER in supporting the states of the North East. He further announced proposals to build new buildings for three colleges in Mizoram - Government Hrangbana College, Government Aizawl West College, and Government J Buana College.

In addition, the Planning & Programme Implementation Department Secretary, Pu Lalmalsawma Pachuau, announced the "Localization of SDG & Sambhav Mizoram" initiative and the upcoming "SDG Symposium" in March 2023, which will be held at Government Hrangbana College and Mizoram Christian College.

The program was attended by the Principal of Government Hrangbana College, Dr. H. Lalzidinga, and the Secretary of Higher & Technical Education Department, Esther Lalruatkimi, who delivered the keynote address. The interactive session and announcements made by the Secretary are expected to pave the way for further development and growth in Mizoram.
