Chief Minister and Councillors of the Lunglei Municipal Council held meeting

 Aizawl, 17 May (Zoram News) : Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga convened a meeting this afternoon to  the newly elected Councillors of the Lunglei Municipal Council (LMC).

Chief Minister, while addressing the LMC Councillors, expressed his congratulations and extended his best wishes to them. He emphasized the government's commitment to effective governance, decentralization, and the development of Aizawl as the capital city. However, he also highlighted that the Municipal Council in Lunglei has its own significance, and he spoke about the importance of the newly elected Councillors in carrying out their responsibilities.

Chief Minister acknowledged that being a public representative comes with various challenges, and it requires dedicated efforts to fulfill the aspirations of the people. He encouraged the newly elected Councillors to prioritize the welfare of the citizens and work diligently towards achieving their goals.

He further stressed that while career growth is essential, it should not overshadow the responsibility of serving the community. The Chief Minister assured the Councillors that the government is committed to supporting them in their endeavors.

The Councillors, representing Lunglei and its surrounding areas, expressed their gratitude for the opportunity and assured their dedication to fulfilling the expectations of the people. They also acknowledged the challenges ahead and pledged to work in the best interest of the community. 

Chief Minister concluded the meeting by encouraging them to carry out their duties with utmost sincerity and to serve as a catalyst for positive change in Lunglei.
