Trade Facilitation Fair 2023 to be organised in Aizawl

Aizawl, 14 March (Zoram News): Mizoram is all set to host its first-ever Trade Facilitation Fair 2023. The fair, organised by rural energy service company SELCO, will showcase more than 40 Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) and livelihood enterprises that offer sustainable pathways for enabling long-term financial and social growth of communities in various livelihood and health sectors across the state.

The fair, organised by rural energy service company SELCO, will showcase more than 40 Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) and livelihood enterprises that offer sustainable pathways for enabling long-term financial and social growth of communities in various livelihood and health sectors across the state
SELCO Foundation, along with Atal Incubation Centre- SELCO Foundation, Planning and Programme Implementation Department of the Government of Mizoram, Northeast Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA), and Mizoram Science, Technology and Innovation Council (MISTIC), will organise the two-day event on 16th and 17th March 2023 at the Millennium Centre, Aizawl.

The fair aims to promote sustainable energy-driven solutions that make livelihoods more resilient and diversified while mitigating climate change. It will feature demonstrations, interactive learning sessions, and collaborative discussions, allowing end-users, Community-based Organizations (CBOs), and enterprises across Mizoram to engage with and experience DRE-driven productive use solutions for various sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, textiles and crafts, and animal husbandry.

The event envisions bringing together over 20 ecosystem stakeholders such as financial institutions, government departments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), enterprises, incubators, and market linkages from Mizoram and the rest of Northeast India. It also provides a robust platform for 40+ DRE and livelihood enterprises from AIC-Selco Foundation and Mizoram Science, Technology and Innovation Council to build engagements and partnerships with state and district-level stakeholders in the future. Additionally, the fair will showcase Mizoram's local products developed by the Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) of Mizoram.
