Aizawl, 13 March (Zoram News): Mizo Presbyterian Kohhran Hmeichhie Khawmpui lian held at Darlawn, Mizoram from March 10-12, where they discussed the issue of women's social media use. The conference aimed to address the concerns and challenges that women face in their online presence and provide guidance on how to navigate the digital world responsibly.

During the conference, the attendees discussed the need for women to use social media wisely and responsibly. They emphasized the importance of using social media platforms for positive purposes, such as sharing inspiring stories and connecting with others, rather than engaging in harmful activities like cyberbullying and spreading hate speech.

The Mizo Presbyterian Church's Women's Association also discussed the upcoming budget for the central women's organization, which is set to be Rs. 44,89,000 for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. They also announced that the next conference, scheduled for 2024, will be held at the Dawrpui Church.

In addition, the conference addressed the issue of Christian leadership and discussed plans for an upcoming leadership conference in 2022. The conference will be held at N. Khawdungsei and Phainuam Pastor's Church and will focus on developing Christian leadership skills and providing guidance for church leaders.

The Mizo Presbyterian Church's Women's Association reported that there are currently 117,455 members in their organization, with a total of 216 churches and branch churches. They also noted that 98.54% of their members are actively participating in church activities and events.

The conference ended with a message from the Synod executive secretary i/c Kohhran Hmeichhia Rev VL Luaia Hranleh, who reminded attendees that their actions on social media should reflect their faith and values. The chairman of the Mizo Presbyterian Church, Sailuti, also urged members to follow the biblical teachings of Micah 6:8, which calls for people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with their God.

The conference's organizing committee included Chairman Zothanpari (Synod thlan), Vice Chairman Dr Lalthansangi Fanai, General Secretary H Lalfakmawii (Synod ruat), Asst. Secretary Lalmuanzuali, Treasurer Zothansiami, and Fin. Secretary R Lalrempuii.
