Aizawl, 11 Feb (Zoram News) : School Education minister Pu Lalchhandama Ralte told the House that government schools have more students than private and church schools.
Education minister Pu Chhantea said that Common Uniform will be used in government schools from the new academic session 2023-2024. He said that the after the recomendation by Human Resource Development Board they have discussed with the department officials and different teachers' association.
Having the same uniform means better discipline for children's equality, easier identification of children, easier and cheaper uniform collection, and facilitation for parents who have to move for employment or other reasons
The education minister said Primary School students will wear light gray shirts and white shirts, while Middle School students will wear light gray shirts and white shirts. High School and Higher Secondary Schools will wear black shoes, black pants and white shirts. Primary to Higher secondary schools will wear black shoes, white pants and white shirts. t-shirts, neckties and badges are allowed to be used by the school authorities.
