Air India to withdraw flight operations from Aizawl

Aizawl, 18 Feb (Zoram News): Air India on Saturday informed that it is withdrawing its flight operations in Aizawl from March 18.

In a letter issued to the CASO, Lengpui Airport in Aizawl, Arun Bordoloi, Station Manager, Air India, Aizawl, said, "This is to apprise that Air India is withdrawing AI flight operations from Lengpui Airport, Aizawl with effect from 18 Mar2023."

"In this regard, the undersigned would like to thank your good office for the cooperation which was accorded to Air India for the smooth operations at Lengpui Airport," the letter added.

Air India is the flag carrier airline of India, headquartered at New Delhi. It is owned by Talace Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, after Air India Limited's former owner, the Government of India, completed the sale while Lengpui Airport was  inaugurated in December 1998 by the then Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani.
