Aizawl, 7 March (ZRN): Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will arrive in Aizawl on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Mizoram, an official said.
The vice president will attend functions and is expected to address the ongoing budget session on Thursday, she said.
He will leave for Sikkim on Friday, where he would virtually lay the foundation stone of Kanchendzonga state university at Tarku in south Sikkim, she added.
No.B.12021/10/04-TRP Dt.22.8.2008 and Section 115&117 of MV Act 1988, Sr.S.P Traffic, Aizawl issued the following guidelines on traffic preparation for the Vice President of India to visit Aizawl on 9th March, 2022 (Wednesday).
Vehicle parking and storage of materials are strictly prohibited on the roadsides between Lengpui to Raj Bhavan; Lengpui, Sihhmui, Sairang (Zero Point), Phunchawng, Rangvamual, Hunthar, Vaivakawn, Dawrpui Vengthar, Dinthar, Tuikual North, Tuikual South, Venghlui on 9th March, 2022 from 7:30 AM to 12 noon for clear movement of Vice President of India.
The same guidelines are to be followed on 10th March, 2022 (Thursday) from 10:00 PM to the next morning 9:00 AM of 11th March, 2022 as the Vice President is to leave Aizawl on 11th March, 2022 (Friday).
In this regard, Sr.S.P Traffic, Aizawl informs the people to make preparations for these days to escape possible problems between 9th to 11th March, 2022. A longer halt of vehicles might be required on these days, Sr.S.P Traffic informed.
