Aizawl, 4 March 22 (ZRN): Lalruatkima, Minister of Rural Development Department today visited the ongoing construction of Foot Suspension Bridge in Nghalchawm today. He also visited the initiatives being taken by the Rural Development Department in Sihhmui and Sairang.
The Minister was accompanied by Zothantluanga, MLA of Aizawl West-1 and officials in the Rural Development Department.
The ongoing Foot Suspension Bridge in Nghalchawm is upon the river of Tlawng with a cost of Rs. 30,40,000/- under SEDP 2019-2020. The location is under Reiek RD Block and is for the approach road of Sihhmui and Nghalchawm.
The bridge will be 70 meter long, the foundation is completed and the Anchor block is being constructed now. RD Minister Lalruatkima assured the bridge will be constructed to be reliable for the people. The approach road will be constructed capable for the vehicles, he said.
The Minister also visited the ongoing construction of Sihhmui Community Hall and Sairang VC Hall. He discussed how to continue the construction including widening the road of the crematory in Sairang.
