Indigo to starts Aizawl flight

Aizawl, 25 February 2020 (Zoram News): In a bid to strengthen connectivity within North East India, IndiGo has announced Aizawl as its 62nd domestic and 85th overall destination, the services will be functional from February 29, 2020. Mizoram will be the sixth amongst the eight north eastern sister states to be connected by the airline to its large domestic and international network.

It already operates flights to and from five north eastern states including Assam (Guwahati), Nagaland (Dimapur), Manipur (Imphal), Tripura (Agartala), Meghalaya (Shillong).

William Boulter, chief commercial officer of IndiGo said: “In our mission to promote trade and tourism through increased mobility, we now add Aizawl in our network. These flights reflect our relentless commitment to further strengthening the network within the north eastern corridors of India, while enabling the government’s Act East vision.”

The airlines currently have a fleet of 250 aircraft. It also offers 1,500 flights daily and offers its services across 62 domestic destinations along with 23 international destinations.
