Champhai, 27 Feb 2020 (Zoram News): Champhai District Chapchar Kut Celebration Committee today discussed the ongoing preparation and several other topics related to Chapchar Kut celebration at DC Conference Hall, under the Chairmanship of Pu Mark Lalthanliana, Chapchar Kut Celebration Working Chairman.
Pu PC Lalrawnliana, Secretary, Working Committee elaborated the proposed programme schedule and estimated expenditure, which was accepted unanimously after deliberate discussion. Dr Lallawmkima, Secretary, Fundraising Committee, explained the detail plan of funding sources. Also at the meeting, duties of line departments and participants were also mentioned.
Chapchar Kut Celebration, the biggest festival of the Mizos’ will take place at District Sports Complex, New Champhai on March 6, 2020 wherein Dr ZR Thiamsanga, MLA & Vice Chairman, Health & Family Welfare Board, Govt. of Mizoram will grace the auspicious occasion as ‘Kut Pa’, Pu VL Chama Hnamte, President SYMA as ‘Kut thlengtu’ and Deputy Commissioner Champhai Pu SL Naveen as ‘Uaptu’ of the festival. The day long celebration programme will be with zeal and zest full of cultural and other activities.
The meeting was attended by Government Officials, NGO’s, among others.
