Aizawl, May 19 - Opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) on Wednesday accused Home Minister R Lalzirliana of violating the model code of conduct.
The opposition in a statement said that the Home Minister was campaigning and distributing some materials in poll-bound Tinghmun village in north Mizoram after campaign was over on May 17 at 4 pm.
It alleged that the Home Minister was conducting a public meeting at Tinghmun and simultaneously distributed some properties to the villagers on May 17 between 4 pm and 5 pm. He also held public meeting at nearby villages in Zohmun and Kawnzar the sameday, the release said.
