Synthetic Football Turf inaugurated by Chief Minister

Aizawl, 8 March (Zoram News): Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga today inaugurated the Synthetic Football Turf and Gallery at Armed Veng, while Sports & Youth Services Minister Pu Robert Romawia Royte was also present.

The Chief Minister praised the gallery that was built near the football ground and emphasized the need for quality sports infrastructure in Mizoram. He said that due to the pandemic, sports activities were severely impacted, but the government is committed to providing necessary support for sports in the state.

He urged everyone to prioritize health and safety measures while using sports facilities and also emphasized the importance of investing in sports infrastructure for the betterment of the future. He also urged people to promote sports and inspire the younger generation to take up sports.

Home Minister Pu Lalchamliana also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the state budget for sports infrastructure development. He emphasized the need for departments and officials to work together to make the most of the available resources.

Sports Minister Pu Robert Romawia Royte spoke about the need to promote discipline and sportsmanship in the state. He also mentioned the concept of "holiday sports" to encourage youngsters to participate in sports activities and to provide opportunities for talented athletes.

The inauguration of the Synthetic Football Turf and Gallery will help boost sports activities in the state and provide a platform for talented athletes to showcase their skills.
