Bilingual Textbook of Class IX Science and Mathematics released

Aizawl, 8 Feb (Zoram News): Human Resources Development  (HRD) Board Vice Chairman Dr L Thangmawia, MLA released a new textbook of MBSE class IX, a bilingual (Mizo & English) textbook of Science and Mathematics in a function held at MBSE Conference Hall yesterday.

Addressing the release function, Dr. L Thangmawia praised the publication as an important milestone for both Mizoram and the country. He acknowledged School Education Minister Lalchhandama Ralte's contribution.

Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) who took  responsible to publish soon; teachers and experts who translated the textbook into mizo language. Dr Thangmawia said translation of Science and Mathematics into Mizo was challenging due to the rarity of some words in Mizo language. He also mentioned that he hopes that many technical terms will be harvested in Mizo language when the Mizo Language Development Board is fully functional.

J.H.Zoremthanga, Chairman,MBSE said that Mizoram is the 1st state to have bilingual textbooks among the Education Board across the country.
