Aizawl, 28 Feb (Zoram News): Aizawl Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles and Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted various activities to spread awareness about India's G20 presidency like ,lectures ,Painting Competitions and Cleanliness Drives on 28 February 2023. A total of 64 students and 19 troops participated in the same.
In
addition to this Aizawl Bn has also been working to welcome the B20
Delegates to Assam Rifles ground in Aizawl .The Aizawl batallion India
has decked up its Main gate and has showed its warmth by means of
various motifs displayed enroute showcasing the spectacular hospitality
for the said event on behalf of Assam Rifles.
India
assumed the Presidency of G-20 Forum on 01 Dec 2022 for one year. The
G-20 comprises of 20 largest economies of the world, which include both
the industrialised and the developing nations. Representatives of
around 20 countries will be visiting various locations in India,
including Mizoram and will be discussing on International financial
stability, Opportunities for Multilateral Business Partnerships in Urban
Planning, Infrastructure,Bamboo, Start ups, Skill Development, Handloom
& Handicraft, Nursing & Paramedics.
In order to make this event a grand success, all departments of Government are expected to participate wholeheartedly and extend all possible support for various events being conducted in Aizawl. The overwhelming response of the locals rightly justified the buzz of the G-20 meeting and its lasting impact on not only the state of Mizoram but also on the whole Nation.
