Nisapui Milk Collection Center inaugurated

Aizawl, 27 Sept (ZoramNews): Vety Minister Dr K.Beichhua yesterday inaugurated a Milk Collection Center and Bulk Milk Cooler at Nisapui in which Mr. K. Laldawngliana, MLA, Aizawl Deputy Mayor Mr. R. Thanglura, AMC Executive Councilor ,Smt. B.Lalawmpuii, AH&Vety  Secretary Smt. Lalzarmawii, AH&Vety Director Smt. Lalrinpuii Sailo, MULCO Chairman Mr. Vanlalchhunga and AH&Vety and MULCO officials were present .

Addressing in the function Chief Guest Dr K. Beichhua said in the inauguration of the Milk Collection Center in Nisapui village is a welcome development for cattle breeders. Aizawl Polyclinic is the only veterinary clinic in the country Siaha, Lawngtlai, Lunglei, Serchhip, Mamit and Kolasib veterinary clinics are already opened in Champhai. Further mentioned that three new districts will be opened.

Artificial insemination has been done more than ever in the last two years, which shows the dedication and hard work of the staff, he said. He also encouraged the cattle breeders to work hard and if they face any problems, they should approach him and solutions will be sought as soon as possible.

Guest of Honour Mr. K. Laldawngliana on behalf of Nisapui villagers and cattle breeders expressed his gratitude for the opening of the Milk Collection Centre. He said that Milk Collection Centers will be established in other villages in the constituency.

Nisapui Milk Collection Center was built under the National Program on Dairy Development. Through this programme, Rs 2,00,000/- was received for the construction of the Centre. So far 1,30,000/- was donated, a total of Rs 3,30,000/- was spent on the construction of the Centre. Construction of the building started on October 31, 2019 and was completed on March 21, The building is 24 feet long and 15 feet wide.

As many as Cooperative Society members 20 conducted 45 voluntary works. The Bulk Milk Cooler (BMC) was purchased from D&K Business, Aizawl in 2019 at a cost of Rs 6,82,0 BMC is designed with the latest technology. Milk is added in the morning and evening. Milk is heated to 4 degrees Celsius within 2/3 hours of insertion.

MULCO tankers pick up the cows at 5:45 am. R134 is used for BMC refrigeration and the electrical connection is 3 phase. Diesel generator (Jackson Cummins Silent Generator) 10 KVA, Rs. 4,11,820/- was allocated. The Collection Center has been collecting 237.17 liters of milk daily since July, 47.41 per month. Nisapui Milk Producers' Cooperative Society was registered on March 4, 2021 under registration number KLB-87/2020-2 The society has 38 dairy cows and 16 dry cows.
