Mizoram making efforts to improve education

Aizawl, 10 Sept (ZoramNews): Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Friday said his government is making massive efforts to improve education. Addressing a general conference of Science Teachers' Association Mizoram (STAM) in Aizawl, the chief minister said that measures are being taken to meet shortage of teachers and other educational requirements.

Addressing a general conference of Science Teachers' Association Mizoram (STAM) in Aizawl, the chief minister said that measures are being taken to meet shortage of teachers and other educational requirements.
He said that he will extend support to establish a full fledged National Institute of Technology (NIT) in the state.

Zoramthanga also laid emphasis on the importance of environmental protection. He urged the teachers to be faithful in their duties. School education director Dr. H. Lalthlangliana, who graced the event as guest of honour, praised the government for its measure to address teachers crunch.

He encouraged the teachers to carry out their duty with a missionary zeal.
