Tlawng Hnar Reserved Forest Verification Team at Lunglei

Aizawl, 20 July (Zoramnews): Gauhati High Court (Aizawl Bench) issued an Order dated on 18/05/ 2022 stated Tlawng Hnar Reserved Forest area related encroachment with this regard Mizoram government set up a Verification Team on June 3, 2022 .

The verification team will led by Principal Secretary, EF&CC Department as Chairman , Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) as Member Secretary and other member includes representatives from Land Revenue & Settlement Department, Sports & Youth Services Department, Local Administration Department and PHE Department.

One of the Verification team member Secretary, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF), EF&CC Department, Shri. RS Sinha has arrived in Lunglei yesterday and has spot verification at Tlawng Hnar, Zobawk Reserved Forest Area. The inspection of Tlawng Hnar Reserved Forest Area Verification team member accompanied with VC and NGOs.

After the verification a meeting held today at Lunglei DC Conference Hall in which Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF), EF&CC Department, RS Sinha conducted a meeting with this regard. The meeting was attended with amidst verification team member , Lungei DC Pu Kulothungan A and District official and VCP Zobawk South, VCP Lungpuizawl, Zobawk Group YMA, YMA Zobawk Vengthar, YMA Zobawk Venglai, YMA Lungpuizawl, MHIP Zobawk and MHIP Lungpuizawl .

APCCF Shri. RS Sinha stress that as per Gauhati High Court (Aizawl Bench) order Verification team was set up, for the initiative and study report to be submitted to Mizoram Chief Secretary said in the meeting.

The report includes forest conservation  wild life, water, related EF&CC Department . During the meeting Zobawk and Lungpuizawl VC’s NGOs report is included. They stress the essence of LAD District Park and Sports Complex besides importance of Tlawng Hnar Reserved Forest Area notification dated 04/05/1978 mentioned boundary description reported to Verification Team .
 
With initative of PHE Department construction check dam completed for the Zobawk and its adjoining areas, construction of water recharging dam initiative also included.
