Lawngtlai, 24 March (zoramnews): World Tuberculosis (TB) Day was observed today at CMO Conference Hall, Lawngtlai with Pu H. Biakzaua, MLA & Vice Chairman, Agriculture Development Board as a Chief Guest.
The function was chaired by Dr S. Thaizi, District TB Officer. Dr LP Malsawma, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Lawngtlai District delivered a welcome speech. Pu James Zarzoliana, Senior Treatment Supervisor gave a performance & achievement report and a TB champion Rev. V. Suikharliana gave his testimony on fighting TB. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr Paul Lalchungnunga, MO DHL.
This year's theme for World TB Day is: "Invest to emd TB: Save lives". The programme was attended by members of LADC, government officials, representatives of VCs and NGOs.
