Aizawl, 23 Feb 22 (ZRN): Sainik School Chhingchhip is a co-educational residential English medium School, imparting Public School Education with a Military bias. The School was inaugurated on 17 May 2017 with its first batch of 60 cadets for class VI. The School admits students from the state of Mizoram to Class VI based on the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination.
The administration of the Sainik School is vested with an autonomous body under the Board of Governors with the Rajya Raksha Mantri as its Chairman. The Chief Ministers and the Education Ministers of the States are also members of the Board of Governors. The Local Board of Administration meets at regular intervals to review the progress of the School and to devise measures for improvement.
