Mizoram to hold festival on flagship project

Aizawl, Feb 26(UNI): Mizoram government is gearing up to hold a grand festival on its flagship project New Land Use Policy (NLUP) that will serve as a fair-cum-exhibition for beneficiaries of the flagship programme.

During the four-day NLUP Festival, to start from March 6 at Assembly Annexe in Aizawl, various products of NLUP beneficiaries - rice, ghur, fruits, vegetables, silk, dairy products and local-made machines – will be showcased.

Farm tools and machineries will also be on display.
There will be more than 100 stalls where local producers will exhibit their produce which will be sold at lower rates than market.

There will also be photo exhibition and film documentaries highlighting success stories of NLP beneficiaries, official sources said.
