Aizawl, Apr 24 (PTI) In an extreme case of domestic violence, a middle aged man hacked his 67-year-old mother to death at Tuirial village near Aizawl early today.
Police said that the accused Lalrinsanga (34) alias Sangtea hit his mother Lallianchhungi on her head using a spade at around 4.30 AM inside their house where she died on the spot.
Tuirial villagers caught Sangte, bound him, and informed the Bawngkawn Police Station, whom they later arrested.
